Saar Berger

Horn Player & Professor Saar Berger has been a member of the international soloist ensemble Ensemble Modern since 2007 to 2023. He works closely with many young and internationally established composers worldwide and enriches the already extensive literature for Horn with numerous performances and premieres of contemporary works as solo pieces , Horn Concertos and chamber music that were dedicated to him.

Since 2017, Saar Berger has been teaching at the Lucerne Festival Academy. In 2019, he was appointed as the horn professor at the State University of Music in Trossingen and leads the Positively brass and percussion institute & yearly Festival together with his Brass & percussion department team. Saar is regularly participating in many Horn Workshops, Festivals and courses around the world and has been active in various collaborations with other musicians and institutes.

Saar has released his first Solo album “Traveling Pieces“ in 2014, and his Solo Video production “Horn around the world“ in 2020, and brought with it a new introduction of the contemporary horn. In 2018, Saar has released his "Sonorous" Duos Album, published by the instrument maker "Gebrüder Alexander" Horns from Mainz. Saar has been working very closely with the instrument maker, Klaus Fehr and has developed a new horn model together with him.
