Harri Lidsle

Harri Lidsle has worked as a musician with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra since 1990. In addition to orchestral concerts, his career as a musician includes a considerable number of other concerts, with children's concerts being perhaps the most precious form of performance. The most important concert series are the Tuba Bumblebee children's concert and the Concert Visiting -concerts. In 2024, the number of children's concerts already exceeded 2,700 performances. In total, there are easily more than 100 concerts a year.
Lidsle is also a renowned interpreter of contemporary music and has written or premiered a triple-digit number of solo works. The first names in the alphabet are Kalevi Aho, Alexander Arutunian and Harri Ahmas. The training of future brass musicians is also close to his heart. For the period 2012-2015 and 2023- Lidsle is responsible for Brass Academy, which is a Finnish Cultural Foundation -funded training group for talented young brass players, operating in various locations throughout Finland.
During his career, he has also had the opportunity to develop instruments with instrument manufacturers, organise the International Tuuba and Euphonium Conference and act as a competition judge at several international competitions. In 1997, he was nominated as the Brass Player of the Year at Lieksa Brass Week.
