Avital Handler

Avital Handler has served as the principal tuba of the Israel Opera Symphony Orchestra since 2001 and has performed with all of Israel's major orchestras throughout her career. As a chamber musician, she founded the Israel Tuba Duo, which gained success with its Tubalicious album, and was a founding member of the Israel Brass Quintet, where she played for 15 years. In addition to the Israel Tuba Duo's albums, Handler has released a solo album and recorded music for films and TV series. She teaches regularly at two Israeli institutions and gives masterclasses worldwide. Handler has also served as a judge in numerous brass music competitions.
