The winner of the Lieksa Brass Week French horn competition have been chosen

The 4th Lieksa International French horn Competition (Holger Fransman in memoriam)

The Lieksa Brass Week French horn competition finals were held in Lieksa Church on Wednesday the 27th July starting from 19:00 onwards. The competitions head of jury is Bruno Schneider (CH), the competition manager is Kauko Karjalainen (FIN). The members of the jury are Saar Berger (ISR), Jose Bernardo Silva (POR), Jukka Harju (FIN), VIlle Hiilivirta (FIN).

In the first round the contestants numbered 23, nine passed into the semi-finals and three into the final. To the Finals the jury chose the following: 15. Mäkimattila Aleksi (FIN), 18. Liu Xiaoxin (CN). 21. Zeng Yun (CN). The contestants' numbers were assigned at random on Friday the 22nd July, and this number remained for the duration of the competition.
